A typical day
Weekdays. Tracy normally gets up around 6.30 so I can 'go outside'. Then we often go on an early morning run with Auntie Diane (sometimes, if there's a lot of wine bottles in the kitchen there's actually quite a lot of walking!). When we get back I go and wake Peter because he's not really very good with mornings - and I don't want him to miss work. If Tracy is not at home I go out with Wayne and Jacky (and the gang). They pick me up at 9.30 and bring me back around 1.30 pm - if I've had a really big run first I sometimes don't feel like it - but I know it would hurt their feelings - so I go anyway. Then Tracy (or Peter) will take me out for a walk and swim late afternoon. Sometimes, Peter plays ball with me in the little park early evening. I try and fit a little chasing and tugging in because Peter likes it so much - I hardly get time to fit in a few hours of day-naps!
Weekends. On really good days I get to slob around for a while on the bed (nap, scrounge some breakfast bits, chase balls, hide under the cover), before we all get up, go off in the car and a long walk in the hills - where I generally lead the way. Then doggie pizza at the pub and a good snooze under the seats. Magic.
