TRACY'S SITE

Location

The whole day takes place in the centre of historic Buxton in the Peak District. All the venues are a short walk from each other, even the rail staion is less than 10 mins walk away. For those coming to the evening party from New Mills we are laying on a bus both ways - so no problems about who is driving! If you plan to stay over you can find accomodation details at:http://www.cressbrook.co.uk/ and http://www.visitbuxton.co.uk/.

The Conservatory is part of the Pavilion Gardens complex with an entrance next to the Opera House.

The Old Hall Hotel is just across the road at the eastern end of the magnificent Buxton Crescent.

These can be seen on this labelled satellite picture. Road maps are given here and here.

Parking: like most cities parking can be a problem, but there is a large pay-and-display car park at the east end of the Conservatory complex. It is also often possible to park (free) on the road leading to Whaley Bridge (via long Hill) near the old Devonshire Hospital (the building with the dome).
