The Ceremony, Saturday 25 November, 2006
Unfortunately, just two weeks before the wedding part of the Conservatory roof supports came down and the venue was closed to the public - including us! Diane offered to design some scaffolding and supply hard hats but we felt it would all look a bit 'village people' - so we had to move the ceremony into the main room adjoining the conservatory.
The Pavillion Gardens' Management and staff (especially the Conservatory gardener) made great efforts to make the room special for the wedding.

We got married at 4 pm, just as it was going dark. Here we are 'signing the register' at the end of the ceremony. The room was candlelit , as you can see behind us. The accompanying music was by Nhoque, who we heard perform in Hanoi on a trip to Vietnam in 2002. |

Everyone in on the act! We are joined by the bridesmaids Aimie and Alix, maid of honour Diane, and the best man Bernie, The lovely table flowers were organised by the Pavillion Gardens in compensation for trying to drop lumps of metal on our head. |
