Evening party

The evening party, with about 130 guests, took place in the 'Orchestra Pit', the vaulted cellars beneath the Old Hall dating back to 1573. The highlight of the evening was Gene Therapy and the Chromosomes (Forever Eric and the Frantics to many of us). We placed two dozen disposable cameras around the tables, which we collected at the end of the evening - so the pictures here come from a massive number taken by everyone. Thanks to everybody for contributing - especially Alix who has clearly found her vocation

It was great to have the band for the evening. We have known, listened to, and enjoyed the band for over a decade. The band played two sets finishing at midnight. Songs included Van Morrison's Brown eyed girl, I can't get my ass in gear, the Reggae classic No Fish and No pies (homage to Hayfield Chippy) and the irrepressible Captain Pugwash with Colin on the Mandolin. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

And on the keyboards we have... Alix and Aimie (with a little help from Paul). The keyboards are now an occasional addition to the band, depending on Paul's commitments and the suitability of the venue. We have known Paul for many years and he is a long-term friend of Ann, who performed the reading at our ceremony. Paul was also a guest at the lunch.
